Bite-Sized is a new format I’ll be sending out in between formal Bite Bite Pass newsletters. Thank you to my business coach, Kiana, for the brilliant idea.
I know the entirety of 2025 has felt like a fever dream, but have the last few weeks just felt *extra* insane, or is it just me? If you’re in Pittsburgh reading this, chances are you experienced Tuesday’s storm in some capacity. If you’re still without power or feeling the aftermath in some way, I’m so sorry. I hope you can tap into your community and recharge (as in yourself and your electronics), and you didn’t lose too much of your refrigerator’s contents in the outage.
Speaking of community, it’s been incredible to watch our local businesses tap into ways of uplifting each other. Refillery is offering trade for soap. De Fer is having a free party in Troy Hill. Even Giant Eagle is offering 15% off groceries this Sunday. Both from a marketing and PGH resident perspective, it’s incredible to see brands show up in these ways, especially so quickly.
Me, I experienced most of my apartment issues last week (think leaking bathroom ceiling, no AC for almost a week, broken storage lock causing me to miss a vintage vending event), and I hope those without power or dealing with down trees can recover quickly.
I recently shared a post highlighting some things that made me smile, and I want this newsletter to feature more of those moments. So, here’s a quick snapshot of the week, and check back soon for the usual Bite Bite Pass programming.
